Description

The Town Bridge was built in the 13th century and was originally a packhorse bridge, but was widened in the 17th century. The bridge chapel, also known as the Blind House, was added in the 17th century, and was later used as a lock-up and an ammunition store. This photograph is noted as being one of 'Dortesio and Todd's Noted Series of Wiltshire Views'.
