Description

Wilton House was constructed in 1563, remodelled during the early 17th century, and then rebuilt after a fire in 1647. The exterior was Gothicised by architect James Wyatt circa 1801, but most of these features were replaced with classical features during the early 20th century. This photograph was transferred from the library of the Royal Institute of British Architects in 1938.
