Description

This north facade of the house was Gothicised by the architect James Wyatt circa 1801, his work pictured in this photograph, but the gothic elements were removed in the early twentieth century in favour of the classical style which replaced them. A note on the mount of this photograph reads that this view show the north front before 1914, so perhaps the gothic elements were removed in this year.
