Description

The cross consists of a late 8th-early 9th century shaft on a later base and was developed from early Christian Eastern Mediterranean monuments such as the Ciboricum of Saint Marks, Venice.

Archival History

The photograph is attributed to Victoria County History. It is referred to on the VCH accompanying list for the Wapentake of Hang East - XA00137.
