Description

The current village church of All Saints was built in 1909 and contains the font from the medieval church of St Mary's. The accompanying notes or the V.C,H. photgraphs are dated 1907 which suggests the photograph shows the font in situ in the earlier church which has since been demolished.

Archival History

The photograph is attributed to Victoria County History. It is referred to on the VCH accompanying list for the Wapentake of Gilling East - XA00141.
