Description

The church has its origins in the twelfth century, with the rest of the building dating mainly from the early thirteenth century to the fifteenth century. The north-east transept chapel dates to circa 1280 and the tower was rebuilt in 1520 after the collapse of the original. Extensive restorations and remodellings were carried out in the nineteenth century by A W N Pugin, E W Pugin and Sir Glbert Scott.
