Description

The church dates to the thirteenth century and is little altered, save for a crossing tower dating to 1428 and restorations in 1868 - 1876 by G E Street. This photograph was taken by the architect George Fowler-Jones (1817-1905), who was born in Aberdeen but spent most of his working life in York. He was also a keen photographer and became an apprentice to William Fox Talbot.
