The original medieval hall of St Mary's Hospital (or almshouses) was converted into eight flats during the 17th century and chimneys were added to provide fireplaces for each unit.
This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project.
