Description

The Guild Chapel, formerly known as the Guildhall, was begun in the thirteenth century with alterations circa 1450 and additions circa 1490. The chapel was constructed for the Guild of the Holy Cross. The King Edward VI Grammer School was founded circa 1417, and is reputed to be the school were WIlliam Shakespeare was educated.
