Description

Kenilworth Castle was begun in the twelfth century and is a spectacular example of a large enclosure castle and later Royal residence. It was modified extensively throughout the medieval and post-medieval periods, with Leicester's Gatehouse, pictured here, added in the sixteenth century and later converted to a dwelling. This is a Francis Frith & Company Limited print sold by the company's agent in London, S. Ellis, 19-23 Ludgate Hill, EC.
