Description

The Beauchamp Chapel (Lady Chapel) was built in 1442 - 1463 to contain the tomb of Richard Beauchamp, Earl of Warwick. The present church consists of a nave, transepts and tower rebuilt by Sir William Wilson in 1697 - 1704 after the great fire of 1694. There is however a Norman crypt surviving.

A stamp on the reverse of this print's card mount shows that the print was previously held in the collection of the Sociaety of Antiquaries.
