Description

Caesar's Tower, the great Norman keep of Kenilworth Castle was begun in the 1120s by Geoffrey de Clinton, as part of the first motte-and-bailey fortifications at the site. This collotype print was created by James Valentine and Sons Limited and is likely to have been a copy made from an original photograph by the company. The creation date range of this print has been confirmed from other surviving reproductions of this image.
