Description

This collotype print was created by James Valentine and Sons Limited and is likely to have been a copy made from an original photograph by the company. The creation date range of this print has been confirmed from other surviving reproductions of this image. Kenilworth Castle dates from the twelfth century, and Leicester's Building was completed in the sixteenth century. It was constructed by Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester, as a three-storey high-status accommodation block for visitors to the castle.
