Description

This collotype print was created by James Valentine and Sons Limited and is a copy made from an original photograph also by the company. The creation date range of this print has been confirmed from other surviving reproductions of this image; the University of St Andrews' Library Photographic Archive holds a copy of the original full-plate print, which is numbered 6788.

Kenilworth Castle dates from the twelfth century, and Leicester's Building was completed in the sixteenth century. Queen Elizabeth I visited Kenilworth three times in the sixteenth-century.
