Kenilworth Castle dates from the early twelfth century, but this structure, formerly known as the Banqueting Hall, now known as John of Gaunt's Great Hall or simply the Great Hall, was begun in the mid-fourteenth century after the castle passed into the ownership of John of Gaunt, son of Edward III.
Prints OP10088–OP10111 and OP10115–OP10119 appear to have once formed part of an album as they are mounted on similarly-presented card pages.
