Description

Kenilworth Castle dates from the early twelfth century, but this structure, formerly known as the Banqueting Hall, now known as John of Gaunt's Great Hall, was begun in the mid-fourteenth century after the castle passed into the ownership of John of Gaunt, son of Edward III. This photograph was taken by James Valentine and Sons Limited.
