This print was received by the National Buildings Record on 9th September 1946. It is captioned 'Poole (Dorset)' but it has not been possible to locate the Sailor's Return (though there is a pub of that name in nearby Weymouth).

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project.
