Description

The Tower was a medieval fortified house used as a prison until 1811 and demolished in 1819. This photograph of an earlier illustration was taken for the Victoria County History in circa 1900.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project.
