Description

The photograph is one of a batch of three, see also OP15262 & OP15264. 'House of E W Hennell' and '5 Southampton Street, Holborn' are written on the back of the card mount of OP15262 . Although 5 Southampton Street has been recorded as the address, the census record of 1901 records that E W Hennell, diamond merchant, lived at 4 Southampton Street and Hennell & Sons, pearl merchants, are also registered there in various directories.
