Description

The Royal Arms were granted to the landlord of the pub for stopping an out of control carriage carrying Queen Victoria on 6th July 1837.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project.
