Description

A note on the reverse of the print states that the photograph was taken shortly before the demolition of the tavern in 1897. In actual fact the Old Bell survived the threat of demolition.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project.
