Description

The first Sadlers Wells theatre opened in 1683. In 1893 this later reincarnation became a music hall before closure in 1915. The current theatre opened in 1931.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project.
