Description

This print has the hand-written note 'From George Jack, September 1899 (carved by G.J.)'. The lectern was possibly an exhibit from the Victoria and Albert Museum. Jack was a teacher at the London School of Art Wood Carving in South Kensington. This picture was used in the article 'George Jack' by R. Jervis in the Arts and Crafts Magazine, published by Hutchinson & Co in 1904.

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project.
