Description

This photograph was taken circa 1886 by F W Edwards shortly after the Atkins monument is said to have been rediscovered in 1885 in a locked vault. The photograph is mounted on card with a blind stamp of the National Art Library, Science & Art Department.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project.
