Description

The tower was built in the mid-thirteenth century as an angle defensive tower and was much altered in the late seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries. The print is marked with the code 'H.A.457', but at present it is unclear what this refers to.

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-1 Red Box Project.
