Description

A sign over the entrance describes Church House as 'Leyton Parish Literary and Social Institute'. John Strype Court now stands on the site of Church House, which served as a memorial to the Reverend John Strype, historian and vicar of the parish from 1669-1737.

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project.
