Description

The church was formerly the Abbey Church of the Order of Fontevrault and dates to the twelfth century. It was restored by the architect William Butterfield in 1852-1853 at a cost of £1500.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project. Accessioned into the collection of the National Buildings Record on the 18th of June 1942.
