Description

The church dates to the twelfth century with additions throughout the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. The original central tower was removed and replaced with the south tower and spire during extensive restorations in 1875-1878 by the architect G E Street. Reverse of card mount is stamped 'Not to be reproduced without permission' and 'From the collection of G Granville Buckley', although this copyright has now expired

Archival History

Previously held in the collections of George Granville Buckley and the Courtauld Institute. Courtauld Institute number B.2267. This photograph was withdrawn from the Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project.
