Description

The almshouses, Warden's House and schoolroom were built in 1668 for Lady Margaret Hungerford of Corsham Court. The photograph was taken by Gerald Sanville, a photographer based in Manchester in the early twentieth century and who was also part of the photographic practice of Oakley and Sanville.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project.
