Description

A credence, in this case, is a cupboard beside a piscina, used to store the sacramental elements and vessels. The Parish Church of St Nicholas of Mira dates to the twelfth century and was heavily restored by T H Wyatt in 1864.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project.
