Description

The roof of Iford Manor can be seen in the background. The photograph can be dated to before 1899, as a large statue of Britannia by sculptor Harold Peto was added to the east parapet of the bridge in that year and it is not visible in this image.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project. Donated via SPAB 1959.
