Description

The bridge was constructed in 1736-1737 to designs by Robert Morris inspired by Palladio's rejected design for the Rialto Bridge in Venice.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project. The print was accessioned into the collection of the National Buildings Record on the 20th of October 1952.
