Description

The seat was constructed circa 1822 in a simple Italianate style similar to that of the loggia to the west of the house. This photograph was taken by the garden historian, WJ Day.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project. The print was accessioned into the collection of the National Buildings Record on the 20th of October 1952.
