Description

The Holbein Porch, built between 1548 and 1563, was the original entrance to Wilton House from the north courtyard. It was moved to its present position c1800, and was then used as a garden pavilion.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project. The print was accessioned into the collection of the National Buildings Record on the 20th of October 1952.
