Description

The Parish Church of St Giles dates at least to the thirteenth century, the chancel is of that date, with the tower dating to the fifteenth century. The church underwent restoration works in 1863-64 under the guidance of TH Wyatt. This photograph was taken by JJ Edmunds, a photographer associated with the London Survey Committee.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project. The print was accessioned into the collection of the National Buildings Record on the 8th of March 1945.
