Description

The statue was sculpted by J M Rysback in 1767, and the earlier cupola was designed by William Privett of Chilmark in 1759. The photograph was taken by the garden historian, W J Day.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project. The print was accessioned into the collection of the National Buildings Record on the 20th of October 1952.
