Description

The formal garden shown in this photograph, in the form of a rectangular parterre, was laid out c1832. The photograph was taken by the garden historian, W J Day. A note on the reverse of the print states that CC52/00571 is a better version of this negative.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project. The print was accessioned into the collection of the National Buildings Record on the 20th of October 1952.
