Description

This tiny and simple Norman church was demolished in 1880 in favour of the construction of a new and fashionable Victorian perpendicular Gothic style church, St Saviour's. Some architectural components dating from the mid-eleventh century were removed from St James' Church prior to its demolition and remain in the present church.
