Description

68 The Close, the house known as 'Mrs Jacob's House' due to successive generations of the Jacob family residing at the site, originated in the sixteenth century when it was known as 'Myles Place', and was a canonical house. It was rebuilt in its present form in 1720.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project.
