Description

The house dates from circa 1805 and is often referred to as Pleasington 'New' Hall to avoid confusion with the Old Hall, which still stands approximately 150 metres to the south west of the former site of the new hall. After falling into disrepair it was demolished in 1932 when the hall and grounds were purchased by Blackburn Council for use as the new borough cemetery.
