Description

Monmouth House was built for R Carey, Earl of Monmouth in the early 17th century. This photograph shows the house prior to reconstruction of the northern half of the building which was carried out in 1927, to match the gabled southern facade of the house.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project.
