Description

The Mystery Tower was one of two towers built during the First World War to defend the country against German U-Boats. The towers were completed just before the end of the war, and not being needed for their original purpose, the one depicted in this image was floated over the the Isle of Wight, where it now forms the Nab Tower lighthouse.
