Description

Part of the broad face, carved with a deeply cut key pattern with median-incised strands.It was found when the church was rebuilt in 1870 and is now in the Monks' Dormitory, Durham cathedral.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project.
