Description

Three panels are carved into the upper part. The first has a six strand plain plait. The middle panel is the figure of an armed man facing left. One hand holds an upright spear and at his waist there is a sword. The face has been tooled away but the figure wears a pointed helmet. The lower panel is a stag facing left. Now in Conyers Chapel.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project.
