In 'A History of the County of Worcestershire: Volume 2', the chimney piece is recorded as bearing the arms of the town of Evesham and that it may have formerly been in the town hall.
This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-12 Red Box Project.
