Description

The upper storey of the gatehouse was rebuilt by the last abbot making it one of the latest monastic buildings in the country.

On the reverse of the mount there is a note stating: 'Carmarthen Library Collection given 1944'.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.
