Description

Sir William Paston (d.1608) was the founder of the Paston School in North Walsham. His monument consists of a canopied altar tomb with an effigy in the form of an armoured man lying on his side, his head resting on his right arm.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.

The photograph was transferred from the library of the Royal Institute of British Architects in 1936.
