Description

On the back of the mount for this print is the note: ‘bought from Alastair Forsyth 17/1/1995’.

According to the University of Aberdeen, who hold some of the negatives for George Wilson Washington photographs, this image appears in the 1877 and 1905 catalogues and must, therefore, have been taken prior to 1877.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.
