Description

The location of the doorway is incorrectly recorded on the back of the print as St Margaret's Vicarage.

9 Nelson Street is a late 15th century house that underwent extensive renovation in the early 19th century. The large studded door dates from the original house.

Archival History

This photograph was withdrawn from the open Red Box Collection for conservation reasons during the 2011-2012 Red Box Project.

The photograph was received by the National Buildings Record on 18th Jul 1946.
