Description

The double hammerbeam roof was installed in the nave in 1504 by the then rector, John Smith. The underside of each hammer beam is decorated with a painted angel and there are additional carved figures on the front of the wall posts. The angels at the base of the wall posts date from the renovation of the church in the late 19th century, but all other decoration is original.
